Dus, Arlene Ann (18 Aug 1973)
A floor length gown designed of French Crepe and daisy designed Venice lace,
featuring a scalloped empire bodice of lace with button trim, long fitted
sleeves and a mandarin collard with a crepe skirt accent with a satin ribbon
sash and streamers, was selected by Miss Arlene Ann Dus for her marriage
Saturday, August 18, 1973, to Ronald D. Moehring. Completing the bridal ensemble
was a cathedral length mantilla of imported illusion, completely edged with
Venice lace, caught to a pillbox type crown. The bride carried an arrangement of
Tropicana roses, white baby pom poms and baby’s breath.
Father Thomas Falkowski performed the 1:30 p.m. double ring ceremony in St.
Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church at Lublin.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dus, Lublin, and Mrs. Carol
Cornell, Sheldon, and Mr. George Moehring, Cullman, Alabama.
Floor length apricot colored crepe gowns featuring a slitted mandarin collar
edged with hairpin lace, and long sheer sleeves were worn by the attendants,
Mrs. Frances Emry, sister of the bride, matron of honor, Mrs. Shirley Shufelt
and Misses Margie Gabrys and Karen Trapp, all friends of the bride. Each wore a
matching apricot colored wide brimmed hat with flowing satin ribbons and carried
a bouquet of rust pom poms and yellow daisies.
Attending the groom were Frank Lato, Madison, best man, Bill Natz and Fred
Stendal, all friends of the groom, and Frank Dus, brother of the bride. Ushering
duties were shared by Ken Cornell and Raymond Dus.
The wedding reception and dance took place at Koolmo’s Ballroom, Gilman. Guests
came from Mississippi, Alabama, Indiana, Illinois, Eau Claire, Madison, Sheldon,
Jump River, Glen Flora, Thorp, Stanley and Lublin.
The newlyweds are making their home in Madison, where Mrs. Moehring is employed
as a secretary at the State Capitol, and Mr. Moehring is employed at General
Motors Corporation, Janesville.
