Sorenson, Eunice (12 April 1922 – 9 January 1980)
Mrs. Glen (Eunice) Sorenson, 58, passed away on the morning of January 9, in
Neillsville Memorial Hospital. She had been taken to the hospital from her
Greenwood home earlier in the day.
Mrs. Sorenson, the former Eunice Lahman, was born on April 12, 1922, in
Marshfield to Mr and Mrs. John Lahman, Sr. She attended Marshfield schools and
then lived in Milwaukee, working for Allis Chalmers for eleven years and later
being employed as a waitress. On January 18,1967, she married Glen Sorenson in
Milwaukee ceremonies. The couple later moved to Thorp and then to Greenwood in
1977.
Survivors include her husband; her father, John Lahman, Sr., Milwaukee, two
sons, Douglas Kraus of Waukesha and Gerald Kraus of California, one daughter,
Mrs. Duane (Sherry) Trunkel, Willard, a brother John (Jack) Lehman, Milwaukee,
one sister, Mrs. Al (Ruth) Lowline, Waukesha; and six grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her mother.
A prayer service was held Friday evening, January 11, at the Rinka Funeral Home
in Greenwood. The Rev. James Lesczynski of Holy Family Catholic Church
officiated and the deceased’s son, Douglas offered a memorial testimony. The
body was to be cremated.
