Wargolet, Mr./Mrs. Stanley (40th – 7 Oct 1973)
On Saturday evening October 6, 1973 Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Wargolet were guests of
honor at a Ruby Wedding Anniversary Party given by their children at Club 73.
Present for the occasion were many friends and relatives, including their four
children: Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd (Vandoski (Theresa) and daughters, Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Wargolet and son, all of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert LeChevalier
(Estelle) and daughter of Brookfield, Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Wargolet Jr.
and daughter of Shorewood, Wisconsin; two of the original seven wedding
attendants, Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Debowski (Frances Klugiewicz) of Villa Park,
Illinois, and Mr. Ed Osowski of Thorp, Wisconsin. Three of the original
attendants are deceased. Other guests present were from Eau Claire, Withee,
Greenwood, Lublin, Gilman, Cudahy and Milwaukee.
For the occasion, the honor bride of 40 years chose a deep pink floor length
dress with matching lace, and the groom a shirt of the same color. Music for the
evening was provided by Frank Jasinek and a surprise mock wedding was put on by
several of the sisters-in-law of the couple and a neighbor. Lunch followed at
about 10 p.m.
On Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hedwig’s Parish, a Mass was said in the
couple’ honor, and their wedding rings were blessed at that time. Stanley
Wargolet and the former Martha Osowski were united in marriage on October 7,
1933 at St. Hedwig’s in Thorp, and have resided on the home farm northeast of
Thorp since that time.
