Wohlleben, Freda (31 Jul 1899 – 3 Nov 1973)
Mrs. Walter (Freda) Wohlleben, 74, died of a heart attack at Stanley Memorial
Hospital on Saturday, November 3, 1973. Funeral services were held on Tuesday,
November 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Thorp United Methodist Church, Thorp, with Rev.
David Fuller officiating. Burial was made in the Hancock Cemetery, Hancock,
Wis., with Rev. Ard. Blomberg officiating at the graveside.
Pallbearers were: Ed Polnaszek, Pete Larson, Galen Misfeldt, Art Olson, Corwin
Guell and Dean Hubbard.
Mrs. Wohlleben was born July 31, 1899 at Hancock, Wis. On June 10, 1927 she was
united in marriage at Great Falls, Montana to her first husband, Irving Gilbert,
who is deceased. On June 27, 1952 she was united in marriage to Walter Wohlleben
at Hancock, Wis.
Surviving are her husband, Walter; one son, Robert J. Gilbert, Wild Rose, Wis.;
one step-daughter (June) Mrs. Elwyn Kinney of Beaverton, Oregon; five
grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; one sister (Marian) Mrs. Leslie Strubel,
Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, her parents, Carrie and Fred
Abbott, and one brother, Clifford Abbott.
