Stroinski, Mr./Mrs. Edward (Silver – 23 Oct 1973)
Orange and rust colored mums adorned the altar of St. Mary’s Polish National
Catholic Church in Lublin for the twenty-fifty anniversary mass in honor of Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Stroinski on Saturday, October 20, 1973. They were lead down the
aisle by their son, Daniel, and daughter, Edith, Mrs. Edward Nowicki. The
organist and soloist for her parents’ anniversary was Judy Stroinski. Among the
selections she sang were “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Sunrise, Sunset.” All five of
the Stroinski’s children were present for the occasion, Suzanne Gessler and
daughters Michele, Lisa, Cristine, Barbara and Bonnie, and Mr. Bob Smith,
Suzanne’s fiancé; Edith, Mrs. Edward Nowicki, her husband and daughters Jill and
Judy; Daniel and Allen Stroinski.
After the beautiful Mass performed by Rev. Thomas Falkowski, and assisted by
altar boys, Johnnie Riene, Kelly Ustianowski and Seven Falkowski, a reception
and buffet supper were held at the American Legion Hall in Thorp. The supper was
served by Janet Herman and Marilyn Tomanal (?). The hostess was Mrs. MaryAnn
Riene. The guest book was passed by Eddy and Judy, and the cake was served by
Suzanne. Music for the evening was provided by Marian Sciesior (?) and his band.
Edward Stroinski and Irene Pakeritz were married October 23, 1948 at St. Mary’s
PNCC in Lublin. Their attendants were Ralph and Mable Berling of Milwaukee. They
were unable to attend the silver anniversary.
The many friends and relatives were present from Summit, Illinois, Milwaukee,
Juneau, Marshfield, Eau Claire, Abbotsford, Unity, Stanley, Lublin and Thorp.
A wonderful time was enjoyed by everyone.
