Army Specialist Five Thomas J. Pancyrz, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pancyrz, route 1, Lublin, Wis., was awarded a sfe driving certificate while serving with the 37th Transportation Group in Mannheim, Germany.

Spec. Pancyrz received the award for driving military vehicles 10,000 miles with no accidents or traffic violations.

The specialist is a truck driver in the 69th Transportation Company of the groups 28th Transportation Battalion. He entered the army in 1968 and was last stationed in Vietnam. He holds the Bronze Star Medal and Army Commendation Medal.

Specialist Pancyrz is a 1968 graduate of Gilman High School.
