Miss Shirley Swoboda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard W. Swoboda, Chippewa
Falls, became the bride of Dean Abramczak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Abramczak,
Thorp, on Saturday, October 27, 1973 at St. Charles Church, Chippewa Falls, with
Rev. Charles Wolf performing the 11:30 a.m. marriage ceremony. Debbie Lofbus was
soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Dayton Thorton.
Marilyn Abramczak, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were
Mary Swoboda, sister of the bride, Darlene Bauers, friend and the bride, and
Cathy Goettl, also friend of the bride.
Ken Niemic, cousin of the groom, was best man, and groomsmen were: Vern Swoboda,
brother of the bride, and Donald and Richard Abramczak, brothers of the groom.
Ushers were James Swoboda and Arnold Bowe.
The reception was held at the Thorp Legion Hall.
The bride is a graduate of Chi-Hi, and the groom is a graduate of Thorp High
School. The groom is employed at Joe Lato Construction, Thorp, where they will
reside at 203 East Birch Street.
