Robinson, David L. (8 Apr 1914 – 8 Dec 1973)
Funeral services for David Lee Robinson, age 59, of route 3, Independence,
Wisconsin, and formerly of the Stanley area, were held Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the
Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, with the Rev. Paul Staufer officiating. Interment
was in the Eidsvold Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson was born in Stanley on Apr 8, 1914, the son of Joseph and Euphemia
Robinson. He grew up in the Stanley area, graduated from Stanley High School,
and entered the U.S. Army in 1943. He was discharged in 1945 during World War
II. On January 5, 1946 he was united in marriage to Ilene Mock at Ely,
Minnesota. They lived there for three years, and then moved to the Stanley area,
where they lived for a while, and then moved to Osseo, Wisconsin, where they
have lived since.
He is survived by his wife, Ilene; five sons, Jack of Gilmanton, Wis., Joe of
Corvallis, Oregon, James of Eau Claire, and David and Timothy at home; three
daughters, Jeanette Berg, Ruth Ann and Kimberly, all at home; two brothers,
Calvin of Whitehall and Orin of Augusta; one sister, Mrs. Clifford (Wanda)
Beldon of Eau Claire; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and his parents.
