The following Thorp area students graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire on Saturday, December 15, 1973:

- Alan Maurice Ehlert, son of Hoard and Beulah Ehlert, route 2, Thorp, BS degree, majoring in Math, member of Phi Alpha Theta, had State Honor Scholarship his freshman year, and on Dean’s Honor List 5 semesters.
- Dennis Matthew Lendosky, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Lendosky, route 3, Thorp, BS degree, majoring Broadfield Social Sciences, member of Leadership Society, also served as resident assistant and with Lettermen Club.
- Deborah Ann Haas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Haas Jr., route 3, Thorp, BA degree, majoring in Social Welfare, was Cum Laude.
- Ellen Lotze, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Tobola, route 2, Thorp, BA degree, majoring in Social Welfare.
