Duda, Edith B. (29 November 1908 – 4 February 1980)
Funeral services were to be held today, Thursday, February 7, from the Gesche
Funeral Home in Neillsville for Edith B. Suda, 71. Mrs. Duda passed away,
February 4, in Neillsville Memorial Hospital, after a lingering illness.
The 3:00 p.m. services were to be held officiated by the Rev. Douglas Groenewold
of Trinity Lutheran Church of Greenwood., with burial to be made in the
Neillsville City Cemetery, and visitation was to be held on Wednesday from 4:00
to 9:00 p.m. and again on Thursday morning until the time of services.
Mrs. Duda was born November 29, 1908, in the Town of York to Jacob D. and Amea
(Alton) Timerson. After receiving her education in that area, she worked in
Milwaukee for several years. On August 25, 1924, she married Joseph A. Duda, in
Milwaukee ceremonies, and the couple moved to the Granton area where they farmed
for several years before continuing farm operations in the Town of Eaton. After
the death of her husband on July 2, 1974, Mrs. Duda moved to Loyal. She was a
Mapleway Terrace resident at the time of her death.
Surviving her is one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Audrey) Lenz, Greenwood, one son,
Leroy, Bremerton, Wash., 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceding
her in death, besides her husband, was one son, Donald and two brothers.

Duda, Edith B. (29 November 1908 - 4 February 1980)
Funeral services were held for Edith B. Duda, 71, from the Gesche Funeral Home
in Neillsville on the afternoon of February 7. She had passed away on February
4.
The Rev. Douglas Groenewold officiated at the services. “The Lord’s My Shepherd”
and “Abide With Me,” were the musical selections offered by Mrs. Mae Peters and
Vanita Volkert.
Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers were
Larry Duda, Robert Duda, Roger Kostick, Fred Dehnert, Harold Heck and Ervin
Heck.
