Basil E. Solberg, Vice President of ITT Thorp Corporation, was elected president
of the Wisconsin Consumer Finance Association at the 48th annual convention in
Milwaukee recently.
Solberg will continue servicing on the executive committee of the association’s
board of directors.
Working with Solberg in executive capacities will be Vice President A. P.
Haemmerle of Home Loan Co., Inc., Secretary; Paul E. Richards of Public Finance
Co., Treasurer; Norman J. Kaier of Sheboygan Acceptance Corp., and Executive
Vice President of Werner A. Wilking, the association’s full time director.
Solberg, a native of Elk Mound, Wisconsin, joined ITT Thorp Corporation, thorp
Wisconsin, in 1956 as a district supervisor and was promoted to assistant vice
president and training director in 1963. In 1970 he was elected vice
president-director of operations.
The Wisconsin Consumer Finance Association si made up of consumer finance
companies licensed in the state of Wisconsin.
