Tillie Kowalski, 79, a resident of Lublin, died at Victory Memorial Hospital,
Stanley, Friday afternoon, December 21, 1973.
Funeral services were held at St. Stanislaus Church, Lublin, Monday, December
24, 10:00 a.m., with burial being made in the Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Kowalski, Tillie (29 Aug 1894 – 21 Dec 1973)
Tillie Kowalski, 79, died of heart failure at Stanley Hospital on December 21,
1973. Funeral services were held at St. Stanislaus Church, Lublin on Monday,
December 24 at ten a.m., with Father Paul officiating. Burial was made in
Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
Pallbearers were: Tony Grajek, Alex Sebunia, Marion Skrypczak, Florian Lisiecki,
Joseph Pancyrz, and Joseph Karakula.
Mrs. Kowalski was born August 29, 1894 in Poland, coming to the states in 1912,
living at Ellis Island, Hammond, Ind., Chicago, Ill., Milwaukee, Wis., and the
last fifty-three years lived in the Lublin area, 37 years on the farm and the
last 16 in the village of Lublin. She was united in marriage in 1912 at Chicago
to Michael Kowalski, who preceded her in death in 1946.
Surviving are three sons: John Kowalski of East Chicago, Indiana, Felix Kowalski
of Chicago, Frank Kowalski of Withee; two daughters, Mary Lewandowski of
Chicago, Hattie Potocnik of Owen; five grandchildren, and a brother in Poland.
She was also preceded in death by a son Joe.
