Miss Dawn Marie Holloway became the bride of Ronald C. Marek in a 2 p.m. wedding
ceremony on November 10, 1973 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Father Charles
Schramm performed the double ring ceremony. The offertory gifts were carried to
the altar by Karen and Korinne Kolo, Eau Claire, twin nieces of the groom.
Robert Holloway, brother of the bride, was organist. His selections were “Color
My World”, “Time For Us” and “We’ve Only Just Begun.”
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Holloway, Hales Corners, Wis.
The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Leon Marek, Thorp, Wisconsin.
Miss Holloway wore a lace trimmed white satin gown with a detachable train, and
carried red roses and baby’s breath.
Miss Kathy Lee, Milwaukee, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were the
bride’s sisters, Bonnie Holloway, Milwaukee, and Tina Holloway, Hales Corners.
The best man was Douglas Trok, Milwaukee. The groomsmen were two brothers of the
groom, Silvester Marek, Chicago, and Allen Marek, Eau Claire.
Roman Marek, Mosinee, brother of the groom, and Steen Fiske, Milwaukee,
brother-in-law of the bride, served as ushers.
The Hales Corners Memorial Hall was the setting for the couple’s 4:30 p.m.
dinner and 6:30 p.m. reception, which were attended by 120 friends and
relatives.
The newlyweds are living at Colgate, Wisconsin after returning from a honeymoon
at Hartwig’s Gobbler and Birchwood resort in Lodi.
Mr. Marek is employed at Harley-Davidson, Milwaukee.
