Miller, John C. (28 Jun 1900 – 10 Jan 1973)
John C. Miller, 73, a former resident of the town of Worden (Clark Co.) and
route 3, Stanley, died Thursday afternoon at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa
Falls.
Born June 28, 1900 in Kansas, he was the son of William and Laura Miller. He
came to the town of Worden area as a young man and married Clara Baumgarten
September 5, 1922 in Stanley They kuved and farmed in the town of Worden for
many years. Mrs. Miller died in June 1967.
Mr. Miller lived at the Golden Age Home in Chippewa Falls since 1972.
Survivin are three daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Elizabeth) Ricksford of New Auburn,
Mrs. Richard (Nina) Heiting of Appleton, and Mrs. Wesley (Ina) Peterson of
Stanley; three sons, Nobert of Milwaukee, Orville of Kent, Washington, nd
William of Little Chute, Wisconsin; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Noland of
Harvard, Ill., Mrs. Bertha Brower of Aberdeen, Washington, and Mrs. Myrtle
Mattheisen of Marshfield; sixteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church in
Stanley, Rev. Robert W. Olson officiating.. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery,
Stanley.
