Gill, Linda Kay (9 February 1980)
Phillip David Bertz and Linda Kay Gill were united in marriage in February 9
ceremonies in Stevens Point. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bertz,
Madison, and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Gill, Stevens
Point. The Rev. Herbert H. Thompson officiated at the St. Paul’s United
Methodist Church ceremonies.
Serving as the bride’s attendants were Sharon Anderson, Lori Stefula and Kim
Wallington. The groom’s attendants included Paul Be4rtz, Peter Haloyda and
Dennis Bertz.
John and Jodell Kraus provided music at the 4:00 p.m. service. Guests were
seated by Ken Haupt and Lauren Bertz.
A reception and dinner was held in the church fellowship hall after the services
and a wedding dance followed that.
The couple left on a two-week wedding tip to the southeastern U.S., and will
make their home in Columbia, S.C.
The bride is a 1976 graduate of Madison Area Technical College and worked as a
dental hygienist in Wisconsin Rapids. The groom is a 1978 graduate of UW-Stevens
Point and is employed as a quality control supervisor fro Pepsi-Cola of
Columbia, S.C.
Prenuptial events included a shower given by Sharon Anderson, Cynthia Hoffert
and Mary Lou Hamilton.
