Halbrader, John A. (6 January 1913 – 7 April 1980)

A Willard native, John A. Halbrader, passed away in a Rockford, Ill., hospital, Monday morning, April 7, after a brief illness. He was 67 at the time of his death. He had been a Rockford resident for the past 35 years.

Halbrader was born on January 6, 1913, in Willard to Mr. and Mrs. August Halbrader, and attended Willard Schools. On July 30, 1953, he married Marjorie Sabin in Rockford ceremonies. The deceased was employed for 25 years as a machinist, retiring in 1972.

Surviving, besides his wife, are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Kathy) Meyer of Rockford, Mrs. Tom (Doris) Pacek of Loves Park and Mrs. Kirk (Mary Ann) Schmidt of South Beloit; three sons, Ronald and David, both of Rockford and Phillip of Loves Park; one brother, Victor, Willard; and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be held today (Thursday, April 10) from the Delehanty Funeral Home, Loves Park, Ill., with the Rev. Lester Reemstna of Willow Creek Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was to be made in a Freeport, Ill., cemetery.
