With the Rev. Douglas Groenewold officiating, Lynne D. Carl and Thomas D. Abel
were united in marriage in early Saturday afternoon, April 26, ceremonies in
Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Mary
Carl, and the Groom is the son of Adolph and Anita Abel, all of Greenwood.
Parents of the bride presented her to the altar.
Toni Carl was the maid of honor. She was joined by Kathy Carl, Wendy Abel of
Racine, Merilee Kubaskie of Merrillan and Deborah Holsinger of Oak Brook,
Illinois.
The bride chose a long-sleeved, empire-waist gown featuring lace inserts, tarin
and knee length veil. She carried white carnations and pink and burgundy rose
buds. The bridesmaids wore pink, blouson-style dresses with matching jackets and
carried bouquets of pink carnations with white and burgundy rose buds.
Bill Hinker was bestman. He was joined by Francis Carl, Mike Artz and Mike Mitte
of Neillsville. Ushering was Carl Kubaskie and Scott Abel.
Jana Barr and Ron Kowitz offered music for the service.
Following the service, a dinner reception and dance was held at the Greenwood
American Legion Hall. The couple announced plans to make a wedding trip to
Missouri and then will make their home in Greenwood.
The bride is a1975 graduate of Greenwood High School and in 1976 from District I
Technical Institute, Eau Claire, and is employed as a payroll clerk for St.
Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. The groom is a 1971 graduate of the same high
school and is employed as a maintenance worker for the Greenwood Elementary
School.
