UW-Stout (Scholarships - 2021)
On Oct. 12, scholarships valued at more than $977,000 were awarded to 436
UW-Stout students through the Stout University Foundation.
Among the scholarship recipients was Karen Fleischmann, a 1991 Neillsville High
School graduate, who lives in Marshfield and is attending UW-Stout with a major
of special education. Fleischmann received the House Specialties Scholarship.
Oher scholarship winners include the following, listed by hometown, name, major
and scholarship(s) received.
Chili: Brett Kreklau, applied mathematics and computer science, computer
science, Dick Grum Scholarship; Kristi Luchterhand, career, technical education
and training, Maurer-Seppanen Endowed Scholarship.
Dorchester: Tara Weber, family and consumer sciences education, Dwight and Linda
Nyhus Davis Scholarship, Phi Upsilon Omicron Endowed Scholarship.
Greenwood: Hannah Hinker, packaging, Dick Grum Scholarship, William Heller Sr.
Scholarship; Brianna North, early childhood education, Dick Grum Scholarship;
Madelin Raese, human development and family studies, Dick Grum Scholarship.
Loyal: Blain Schmidt, engineering technology, Donald and Ann Ritzinger Zittleman
Scholarship, Erik Jon Odness Endowed Scholarship.
Thorp: Bailey Jacque, hotel, restaurant and tourism management, Dick Grum
Scholarship, Philip H. McGuirk Freshman Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism management
Scholarship; Jennifer Slowiak, Master of Science in education, George C. and
Gladys S. Decker Memorial Graduate Scholarship.
The students received the awards during a virtual scholarship reception, which
replaced the traditional on-campus event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
