Pollard, June (1946? – 23 Nov 2021)
Following a lengthy battle with cancer, June Langfeldt Pollard, 75, formerly of
Loyal, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, in Hobbs, N.M. Per June’s request,
a private family service will be held at a later date in Hobbs, N.M.
June graduated from Loyal High School in 1964. She married Jim Pollard, who was
in the military, serving at several Army bases for more than 20 years. Following
his retirement they moved to Hobbs, N.M., in 1980. She was proudest of the fact
that at the age of 50, she furthered her education at New Mexico Junior College
and University of the Southwest earning a degree in elementary education.
She is survived by a son, Vernon (Diane) Pollard of Virginia; two daughters:
LaNita (Les) Palmer of Hobbs, N.M., and Sonya (Jeff) O’Brian of Hobbs, N.M.;
five grandchildren; a brother, Guy (Mary) Langfeldt; two sisters: Vivian Briski
and Trudy Reber; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
June was predeceased by her parents, Ed Langfeldt and Adela Goutcher; a brother,
Butch; three sisters: Donna Mae, Joyce, and Rosalee; and a grandson, Cody
Pollard.
