McGrew, Alice (19 August 1928 – 8 November 2021)
Alice McGrew, 93, of Roscoe, IL, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021.
Alice was born on August 19, 1928, to Milos Lukas and Mary Wendel in
Neillsville. She had a younger brother, Wallace Lukas. She was married to Curtis
Yule and had two daughters, Christina Yule-Lear (Philip) and Debra Yule-Heiber
(Gary); one grandson, Michael Heiber (Alyssa); and two lovely
great-granddaughters, Mia and Clara. Later in life she was married to James
McGrew and had a wonderful life with him before he passed. She was predeceased
by her parents, her brother, and her first and second husbands. We will miss her
greatly for her love and support.
Alice had always been involved with education and helping others. After earning
her degree in education, Alice taught elementary education in Hobart, Indiana.
Later, she worked with special needs children at the Eau Claire high school.
After earning a master’s degree in counseling, she worked as a high school
guidance counselor at Muskego High School. Even after her retirement, she worked
with her church as a Stephen minister.
She has had a positive effect on many people in her life, and many have lived
better lives because of her.
The family wishes to thank Javon Bea Mercy hospice and AnamCare for their care.
The family is planning a Memorial Service which will be announced at a later
date, currently tentatively Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Please continue to check
