Kleinschmidt, Lilas Irene (8 March 1935 – 26 November 2021)
Lilas I. Kleinschmidt, 86, of Marshfield, passed away on Friday, November 26,
2021, at Marshfield Care Center.
In honoring Lilas’ wishes, no public service will be held.
Lilas was born March 8, 1935, in the Town of Spencer; daughter of Ervin and
Louise (Hefty) Stoneburg. She attended and graduated from Spencer High School.
She was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Marshfield. On November 10,
1956, she was united in marriage to Glen Kleinschmidt in Spencer. Sadly, he
passed away on April 25, 2019.
She was a lifetime member of the Southern Clark County Sportsman’s Club. Lilas
enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and playing cards. She also enjoyed
collecting and cooking maple syrup.
Those who will cherish her memory include her son, James (Susan) Kleinschmidt of
Spencer; her grandchildren, Jesse (Lori) Kleinschmidt of Altoona and Timothy
Kleinschmidt of Spencer and her great-grandchildren, Addison and Sierra along
with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Louise Stoneburg; her
husband, Glen Kleinschmidt; her daughter, Mary and her aunts, Mildred (Reuben)
Wundrow and Irene Hefty.
Lilas’ arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer.
