Durham, Reita Ann (26 April 1980)
Reita Ann Durham and Joseph Jay Galetka were united in marriage during April 26
afternoon ceremonies at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.
The Rev., Norman W. Lindloff officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs.
Keith Durham, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Galetka, Sr., both of Neillsville. The
Durham’s presented their daughter to the altar.
Roberta Genteman, a friend of the couple from Neillsville, was maid of honor.
She was joined by Mrs. Bruce Opelt, another Neillsville friend, in the bride’s
party.
Bruce Opelt, a Neillsville friend, was the bestman, and Richard Durham, a
brother of the bride from Neillsville, was a groomsman. Ushering were Kendal
Durham and Richard Galetka, brothers of the bride and groom and both from
Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tess provided music for the sharing of the vows.
Following the service, a dinner and dance was held at the Neillsville American
Legion Hall. Featured was a wedding cake decorated by Mrs. Marvin Aumann,
Neillsville.
The bride was attired in a silk taffeta, empire-waist, featuring a sweetheart
neckline and long lace sleeves. She carried pink and white roses and baby’s
breath for her bouquet. The bridesmaids wore lavender gowns of organza and
taffeta with capelet sleeves and flounced hems and carried lavender and white
roses. The groom and his escorts were attired in gray suits.
Prenuptial events included showers hosted by Sue Daniels and Joan Galetka and
another by Marie Lorden and employees of the Hacienda Supper Club.
The bride is a 1976 graduate of Neillsville High School, was employed by the
Hacienda. The groom is a 1976 graduate of the same school and is now farming.
