Garbisch, Spec. 4 James A. (Service Notes - 1980)
Among those recently selected for honors, training assignments or promotions in
the various branches of the U.S. Military were Spec. 4 James A. Garbisch, whose
wife, Shelby, lives in Neillsville, recently participated in BRIDGEX 80, a
training exercise in Germany.
The training was designed to teach combat and bridge engineers on all American
fixed and float bridges available to the U.S. Army in Europe.
Garbisch, a crane operator stationed with the 559th Engineer Battalion in Hanau,
Germany, is a 1977 graduate of Granton High School and entered the U.S. Army in
June 1977. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Garbisch, Rt. 1 Granton.
