Earning “talentships,” a form of financial scholarship for their studies were 19
students slated to attend the UW-Marshfield campus. Area students receiving the
$300 awards included:
Lori Barth, Rt. 1 Granton, a business administration major who was active in
National Honor Society, editor of the annual and on the newspaper staff, student
council and served as officer in the Fine Arts Club, Varsity Club and FHA. She
also participated in Volleyball, basketball, track, baseball, drama, forensics,
High Quiz Bowl, Badger Girls’ State and the Laird Youth Leadership Conference.
Cindy Anne Firnstahl, Colby, a music major. She was an officer in the National
Honor Society, freshmen and junior class, Art Club and Masquers-International
Thespian Society. She also had lead roles in seven plays and participated in
vocal groups, FFA, Spanish Club and forensics.
Barbara Krultz, Greenwood, a nursing major. She was a member of the National
Honor Society, officer in all four classes and participated in FHA, Pep Club, G
Club, Central Wisconsin Math League, FBLA, High Quiz Bowl and was active in
chorus, tutoring cheerleading, basketball and track.
Kathryn Sue Venzke, Colby, with an undecided major. She was an officer in
Masquers-Thespians, Audio-Visual Club and Spanish Club and was active in the
National Honor Society. She also participated in cross-country, track,
forensics, student newspaper, Athletic Club and the Central Wisconsin Math
League.
Bonnie Krultz, Greenwood a business administration major. She was president of
the National Honor Society, G Club, and senior class. She was a member of the
Student Council, freshman class treasurer and participated in Pep Club, FHA,
FBLA, Central Wisconsin math league, High Quiz Bowl, Pep Club, track,
basketball, chorus, newspaper, tutoring and forensics.
