Banks, Alice L. (1 October 1948 – 22 November 2021)
Alice L. Banks, 73, of Dorchester, formerly of Medford, died Monday, November
22, 2021, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.
No services will be held.
Alice was born October 1, 1948, in Medford to Lorraine (Higgins) and Matthew
Gengler Sr. She graduated from Medford High School, class of 1968.
On October 14, 1973, Alice married Ronald Banks. They resided in Medford where
Alice worked as a CNA in home health care, and she also babysat many children in
her home. Once retired, she and Ronald moved to Dorchester where they currently
resided.
Alice enjoyed cooking, baking, flower gardening and collecting dolls. At one
time, she had over 1500 dolls!
She is survived by her husband, Ronald of Dorchester, son, Christopher (Maria)
Banks of Medford; siblings, Peggy Obernberger of Stratford, Terry (Cindy)
Gengler of Chippewa Falls, Matt (Sue) Gengler of Perkinstown, Vicki Gengler of
Bloomer; sister-in-law, Patty Gengler of Perkinstown; grandchildren, Erica and
Janel Banks; her best friend, Mary; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas Gengler; and a
brother-in-law, Dale Obernberger.
