Fritz, Sandra H. (13 February 1940 – 28 November 2021)

Sandra H. Fritz, 81, of Owen passed away on Sunday, November 28 after a persistent battle with Parkinson's.

Sandy was born on February 13, 1940, to Harley and Eileen Hardrath. She graduated from Owen High School and married Lawrence Fritz on September 5, 1959. They had 5 children: Scott, Dan (Mary), Jeff (Teri), Tami (Sean) Cummings and Wendy. Sandy enjoyed time with her 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and had a special bond with them as their "Grandma Sandy". She worked for the Owen-Withee School District for 30+ years as a Special Education Paraprofessional. She loved her time at school and continued working well past retirement. Sandy was happiest when juggling many things. She worked full-time while raising her family and somehow always had time for a home-cooked meal and a homemade dessert. Sandy cherished time with her family and family traditions, especially homemade gifts at Christmas. She had a passion for helping others and acknowledging special occasions. She loved sending cards to people and seemed to remember everyone's birthdays and ages. She was an avid reader, card-player and baker. Sandy was involved with many organizations throughout her life and appreciated any activity that involved being creative or crafty. Sandy was involved in and led many groups over the years including 4-H, youth group and homemakers.

She moved to The Waterford in Colby in October of 2020. She loved being able to get her hair done and nails painted, along with all of the activities and projects that she could be involved with. She appreciated spending time with her roommate, and they often could be found chatting while crafting or playing cards. The family is thankful for the care, love and attention that she received from both the Waterford and Heartland Hospice staff.

Sandy was predeceased in death by her parents, Harley and Eileen, her sister Suzie and brother-in-law Phillip Roebuck.

She is survived by Larry, her husband of 62 years, her 5 children, her grandchildren: Amber, Ashley, Seth, Erin, Dee, Kerri, Amy, Cassy, Hans, Hannah, Sven, Austin, Madison, Quillan, Morgan, Samantha, Chrystelle, McKinley, Mariana and Gabby and her great-grandchildren: Amalia, Aurora, Kyden, Kaizleigh, Brandyn, Brooklyn, Kolton, Bailey, Marcus, Beau and Luke and her two sisters Sally (Jerome) and Sheryl (Harold).

A private Burial service will be held at Green Grove Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place, for all that want to attend on July 2, 2022, in the Owen area.
