Geldernick, Fay Ann (12 June 1980)
Fay Ann Geldernick and Dale Gene Luchterhand were united in marriage during
Thursday afternoon, June 12, ceremonies in Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The
Rev. Joseph Krally officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Geldernick, Rt. 1, Chili, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Luchterhand, Rt. 2 Loyal. The
father of the bride presented her to the altar and her husband-to-be.
Theresa Fischer, a Marshfield friend of the bride, served as matron of honor.
She was joined in the bride’s party by Terry Geldernick, a cousin of the bride
from Chili, and Debbie Luchterhand, the groom’s sister from Marshfield.
Dennis Steffen, a friend of the groom from Greenwood, was bestman. He was joined
by Leroy Bowe, a friend from Loyal and Thomas Geldernick, the bride’s brother
from Chili. Ushering were David LaBarge and Bruce Eskildsen, both friends of the
couple from Loyal.
“The Wedding Song” and “We’ve Only Just Begun were the musical selections
offered by Judy Haselow and Kathy Jasurda.
The bride chose a short-sleeved, ruffle-trimmed gown, featuring a stand-up
collar, with lace and pearl beads to the waist and a lace-edged full pleated
skirt that extended to a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of white
carnations, lilies of the valley and red roses. The bridesmaids wore light gowns
showing an empire waist and capelet. They carried assorted, blue-tinted flowers.
The groom chose a white, tailed tux, with a bridal sash and he sported a red
rose, and lilies of the valley boutonniere. Groomsmen wore light tan suits
marked by a carnation.
Following the marriage, a reception and dance was held at Spencer’s Village
Plaza. Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by Debbie Luchterhand and
Donna Karl. The couple then left on a trip to the southern states.
The bride attended Marshfield High School while the groom attended Loyal High
School. He is presently farming. The couple will make their home in rural Loyal.
