St. Mary’s Catholic Church was the site for the Satruday afternoon, June 7,
sharing of wedding vows between Marcia VandeBerg and Gerald Gross. Parents of
the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Russell VandeBerg, Rt. 1 Neillsville, and Mrs.
Clifford (Alice) Gross, 21 Center St., Neillsville. The parents of the bride
presented her to the altar with the Rev. Joseph Henseler officiating.
Serving as maid of honor was Brenda Wilcox, a friend of the bride from Eau
Claire. She was joined by Margi Davison, a friend of the bride from Menomonie;
Renee VandeBerg, a sister of the bride from Neillsville; and Mary Sargeant and
Julie Koman, both friends of the bride from Menomonie.
Serving as bestman was Paul Erpenbach, a friend of the groom from Neillsville.
He was joined by Scott Tews, Mark Dux, David Wasserburger and Peter Schmidt, all
friends of the groom from Neillsville. Ushering were Mike Kuchenbecker,
brother-in-law of the groom from Neillsville, and Mark VandeBerg, the bride’s
brother from Brookland Park, Minnesota.
“The Rose.” “How Great Thou Art,” “Sunrise, Sunset” and “Alleluia” were among
the musical selections offered by Corrine Armitage, Suzanne Johnson and Rita
Stewart.
The bride was attired in her mother’s wedding gown which was of ivory satin and
featured a Chantilly lace overlay, long train, flowered headpiece and matching
veil. She carried a bouquet of mauve and pink and white daisies and baby’s
breath. The bridesmaids wore long gowns of a mauve color, featuring halter tops,
matching skirts and Roman-style jackets. They carried bouquets of pink and white
daisies, purple statis and baby’s breath.
The groom was attired in a dark gray coat, pin-stripe pants, black and white
striped tie and white shirt. Groomsmen were dressed similarly to the groom but
sported black and white striped garters on their shirt sleeves.
Following the services, a reception and dance was held at the Loyal American
Legion Hall. Karen Kuchenbecker was in charge of the guest book at the
reception.
The bride recently earned a bachelor’s degree from UW-Stout in home economics
education. The groom attended two years at District I Technical Institute- Eau
Claire and is now employed by Gross Motors, Inc. The couple then left on a
Montana and Canadian Rockies wedding trip. They will make their home on Rt. 2
Neillsville.

UW-Stout, another by Gross Motors, Inc., and another by Brenda Wilcox. A
rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s mother at the Neillsville Country
Club.
