Clark Co.-Colleges’ Notes (Honors - 1980)
Numerous students from the area were among those recently named by various
colleges, universities and technical schools as having earned academic honors or
received degrees.
Among those named, by school, were: Mid-State Technical Institute, Wisconsin
Rapids – Honors for the second semester went to Jon Counsel, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Counsell, Neillsville, who earned a 4.0 GPA; and Gloria Thoma, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thoma, Neillsville.
UW-La Crosse – Among those receiving degrees during spring commencement
ceremonies was Judy Sischo, Neillsville, who majored in recreation therapy.
Among those earning dean’s list honors for the spring semester were Mary Becker,
Curtiss, a senior in computer science; Crystal Garbisch, Granton, a junior in
recreation therapy; Diane Havlicek, Neillsville, a junior in medical technology;
and Sischo.
UW-Stevens Point – Listed among those getting academic honors for the spring
semester were Donna Dachel and Ann Gilbertson, both of Granton, and Charlotte
Smith, Neillsville.
