Zahnow, Walter O.(? – 15 June 1980)
Funeral services were held June 17 at 8:00 p.m. for Walter Zahnow, who passed
away two days earlier at the age of 86. Services were held at Calvary Lutheran
Church in Neillsville with the Rev. Paul Forde officiating and burial was made
in Wanderer’s Rest Cemetery in Milwaukee on June 18.
“How Great Thou Art,” “Master Let Me Walk With Thee” and “Abide With Me” were
the musical selections offered by the quartet of Mary Heineck, Karen Forde, Ron
Seybold and Kendall Smith. They were accompanied by Elaine Smith. Serving as
pallbearers were Melvin Appleyard, John Langton, Everett Handt, Ross Stevens,
Kenneth Olson and Emil Schlinsog.
Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr./Mrs. Bill Brooks, Largo, Fla.;

Kauffman, Mr./Mrs/ Tony Bezlyk & family, of Chili; Susan Murphy, Loyal; Mr./Mrs.
Frederick Elmhorst, Mr. /.Mrs. Carl Harlin, Milton Garbisch, Mr./Mrs. Harold
