Smith, Captain Mark (Service Notes - 1980)
Several service men or women from the Area were recently promoted or received
honors for their efforts.
Captain Mark Smith, son of Mrs. Clarence Smith, Clintonville, has arrived for
duty at Vandenberg AFB, California. A missile operations officer, he was
previously assigned to Malstrom AFB, Montana.
The captain’s wife, Kathy, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Gardner, Rt. 1
Greenwood.
Captain Smith received his bachelor’s degree in 1975 from UW-Superior and earned
a master’s degree in 1978 from the University of Southern California’s extension
at Great Falls, Montana.
