Holmes, Dan F. (1933? – 22 Feb 1974)

Dan F. Holmes, 40, Thorp, died Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Mr. Holmes was married June 11, 1955 to Patricia Shimbersky in Eau Claire. He had been a meat cutter for Pabich’s Thorp, for the past four years.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Diane Holmes, Eau Claire, Kathryn, Theresa, Kristine, all at home; two sons, Dan and Kirk, both at home; two step-sisters, Mrs. DeWayne Cummings, Chetek, Faye Ann Holmes, Eau Claire; two brothers, Ray Holmes, Milwaukee, Tom Holmes, Chippewa Falls; his mother, Mrs. Nona Holmes, Eau Claire; and step-mother, Mrs. Lucille Holmes, Eau Claire.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Golden Funeral Home, Eau Claire, with Rev. Peter Eiden officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in the spring.
