Verkuilen, Albert C. (21 Sep 1921 – 15 Feb 1974)
Albert C. Verkuilen, 63, former Stanley resident, died suddenly a week ago
Friday morning at his home in College Corners, Ohio.
He was born September 21, 1910 in Thorp, the son of Albert and Mary Verkuilen.
He grew up in Athens, Wis., and went to Stanley when a young man. He served with
the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed by the Square D Company for
many years. Mr. Verkuillen also lived in Detroit, Michigan and other communities
before moving to College Corners.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Norene) Zais, Stanley, and Mrs.
Magdalene Rubenzer, Chippewa Falls; and one brother, Charles of Chippewa Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Funeral services were Friday at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in
Stanley. Father Kaiser officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Stanley.
