St. Paul’s Lutheran Congregation has recently signed contracts for construction
of a new sanctuary and fellowship hall on their location at 201 – 203 Rusch
Street here.
The new building will include a worshipping sanctuary with a seating capacity of
240, a fellowship hall seating 150, kitchen facilities, a working sacristy and a
spacious narthex which will also serve as a tie with the present Education
Building.
Another social feature of the construction will be an open inner courtyard which
will be utilized for wedding receptions and other special activities.
The contracts have been awarded to: Market and Johnson, Inc., Eau Claire,
General Construction; Thorn Pine and Supply Co., Plumbing, and Service Electric
Inc. Pittsville,, Wisconsin Heating, Ventilating and Electric.
It is thought that the work on this project will begin around April 1, 1974 of
this year, with completion tentatively scheduled for October 1974.
