Pearson, Martha (20 May 1905 – 23 Feb 1974)
Martha Pearson, 68 years old, passed away at Heber Springs, Arkansas, February
23, 1974.
She was born in Stanley, Wisconsin, May 20, 1905 to Jacenty and Kathryn Leja.
When she was a young girl the family moved to Chicago, Illinois. While there she
married Edward Pearson on March 23, 1929. She lived there until 1969, when she
moved to Heber Springs.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; 3 brothers, Joe, John and Frank of
Stanley; 5 sisters, Mrs. Mary Slowiak, Thorp, Mrs. Anna Slowiak, Stanley, Mrs.
Bertha Slowiak, Mesa, Arizona, Mrs. Frances Brzuzan, Stanley, and Mrs. Louise
Stafin, Niles, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister,
Rose, three brothers, Fred, Peter and one in infancy.
Funeral services were held from St. Albert’s Church, Heber Springs, with Father
Groff officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
