Slowiak, Frank A. (18 Apr 1911 – 14 Mar 1974)
Frank A. Slowiak, 62, route 1, Cadott, formerly of Stanley, died suddenly at
Thursday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls.
He was born April 18, 1911 in the Town of Thorp (Clark County), the son of John
and Mary Slowiak. He grew up in the Stanley area and had farmed all his life.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Slowiak, Thorp; five brothers, Stanley
and Louis of Stanley, Joseph of Phoenix, Arizona, Leo of Thorp, and Julian of
Cadott; three sisters, Mrs. Edgar (Stella) Hammerberg, Chicago, Illinois, Mrs.
Alex (Rose) Sliwka, Thorp, and Blanche Slowiak, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
Funeral services were Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church,
Stanley, Father Leonard Kaiser officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary’s
Cemetery, Stanley.
