The Grand opening of Rudy’s (the former Thorp Hardware building) will be held
this coming Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20, 1974.
For these two days there will be free coffee and snacks, with door prizes, which
include a portable black and white Zenith TV, Faberware toaster, 5 gallons of
Porter Paint and Mr. Coffee.
With the Grand Opening the store will be featuring Porter paints, wall covering,
appliances, sundries, TV, TV repairs and appliance service.
Rudy and Rita Zoromski are the new owners and have four children, Dennis, Bill,
Karen and Darren. They moved here from Eau Claire, where Rudy has been in
business the past eight years.
Rudy invites all to visit their new wall covering department, where he is
featuring the latest in wall patterns. During the Grand Opening he announces a
10 percent off on all orders.
Friday the store will be opened at 8 a.m. and close at 9 p.m., and on Saturday
opening at 8 a.m., the store closes at 5 p.m.
