Malinowski, Rose (12 Apr 1918 – 8 Apr 1974)
Mrs. Louie (Rose) Malinowski, 55, route 1, Thorp, died April 8, 1974 at her
home.
She was born April 12, 1918 in the town of Worden, Clark County, the daughter of
Peter and Anna Lauer. She married Louie Malinowski June 18, 1938 at St. Ann’s
Church in Stanley.
They farmed south of Stanley, then moved to Eau Claire for two years, and then
to their present farm in the town of Reseburg, Clark County.
She is survived by her husband, Louis; four sons, Edward of Encampment, Wyoming,
Frank, Lublin, Andrew and Donald, Thorp; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Walters,
Eau Claire, Mrs. Carl (Mary) Artman, Milwaukee; one brother, Andrew of Anniston,
Alabama; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 1974 at St. Bernard’s
Catholic Church, Thorp. Burial was made in New St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Thorp. The
parish rosary was said at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Pallbearers were: Walter Anderson, Robert Walters, George Lauer Jr., Melvin
Lauer, Victor Lauer, and Dean Lauer, all nephews.
