Kowalowski, John A. (18 Jun 1883 – 10 May 1974)
John A. Kowalowski, 90, died of old age infirmities at Mount Washington Home,
Eau Claire on Friday, May 10, 1974. Funeral services were held at St. Bernard’s
Church, Thorp, Monday, May 13, with Rev. Bill Buchman officiating at the 10:30
a. m. services. Interment was made in Old St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Arthur Jacques, Frank Wadzinski, Louis Wojtkiewicz, Joseph
Panek, Henry Cieslak, and Pat Soderberg.
Mr. Kowalowski was born June 18, 1883 in Poland. He was united in marriage in
1910 at Thorp to Veronica Kosloski, who preceded him in death. John was employed
at the Owen Box Factory before his retirement.
Surviving are two daughters, (Josephine) Mrs. Maylond Malinowski, Thorp, and
(Stella) Mrs. Charles Heimerl, Eau Claire. Besides his wife, he was preceded in
death by one son, John Kovaloski of Owen and (Helen) Mrs. Frank Cieslek.
