Kliscz, Andrew (1879? – 22 May 1974)
Funeral services for Andrew Kliscz, 93, Lublin, were held Saturday morning at
Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, Lublin, with Father Jurich officiating.
Mr. Kliscz, who was a resident of Lublin since 1913, died in Frankfort, Ill.,
Wednesday. He was born in Poland in 1881 and came to the United States as a
young man, settling first in Pennsylvania, and then moving to Ohio. He farmed in
the Lublin area for many years.
Surviving him are two sons, Anthony, Gilman, Sam, Tucson, Arizona, formerly of
Medford; six daughters, Mrs. Annette Maier, San Francisco; Mrs. Peter Chamick,
Westfield; Mrs. Anthony Baker, Frankfort, Ill.; Mrs. William Kester, Las Vegas;
and Mrs. Eugene Mathey, Westboro; 16 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
His first wife, the former Tekla Smalec, to whom he was married in 1906, died in
1951, and his second wife died in 1969.
