Joseph Keating, 58, President of Thorp Telephone Company in Thorp, Wisconsin was
elected president of the Wisconsin State Telephone Association for the 1974-75
term. Elections were held at the 64th annual meeting of WSTA at the Pfister
Hotel in Milwaukee on May 22, 1974.
Keating has been president of the Thorp Telephone Company since 1946, and his
company has been a member of the telephone association since 1947. As president,
Keating stated one of his prime objectives will be to encourage the 117
telephone utilities serving the residents of Wisconsin to provide subscribers
with more information about their operations, for the purpose of building a
better understanding of the utility industry.
