Michelle M. Badzinski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Badzinski, Marshfield, is
the recipient of a Melvin Laird Youth Leadership Scholarship.
Michelle attended Columbus High School, Marshfield, where she exhibited an
outstanding caliber of service and dedication. As a sophomore she was received
into the National Honor Society; an honor ordinarily reserved for juniors. As a
junior she was a National Science Foundation awardee and studied chemistry at
Rider College, Trenton, N.J. Her dossier was presented to and accepted by both
the Society of Outstanding American High School Students and “Who’s Who in
Secondary School: for two years running.
Graduating as salutatorian of her class, as well as receiving an honorary
scholarship in science from St. Mary College, she qualified to be named
designate for the Wisconsin State Honor Scholarship.
Michelle’s grandparents are Mrs. Cecelia Parks, Mr. Louis Badzinski Sr. and
great-grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Badzinski.
