A September 28, 1974 wedding date has been chosen by Vicky Nixdorf, daughter of Mrs. Walter Nixdorf and the late Walter F. Nixdorf, Abbotsford, and Donald C. Rusch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald B. Rusch, Withee. Vicky, a 1972 graduate of Abbotsford High School, attended NCTI, Wausau, and is employed by ITT Thorp Finance Corporation, Thorp. Don, a 1969 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, and a 1973 graduate of UW-River Falls, is presently employed by Production Credit Association at Stevens Point.

Miss Vicky Nixdorf, daughter of Mrs. Walter Nixdorf and the late Walter Nixdorf, of Abbotsford, became the bride of Donald C. Rusch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald B. Rusch, Withee, on Saturday, September 28, 1974 at Abbotsford, with Rev. Kenneth Loehrke performing the ceremony. Organist was Jill Bremer and soloist was Paul Nixdorf.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Paul Nixdorf, wore an Ivory Polyester sheer gown with double tiered hemline extending into a chapel train. A Juliet headpiece secured her fingertip veil and she carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses, white snowdrifts and baby’s breath.

Miss Sharon Holtz was her maid of honor, and bridesmaids were: Miss Mary Liske, Miss Janie Jecevicus and Miss Barb Rusch. They wore wine colored A-line knit dresses with ivory tiers, back lapels and long fitted sleeves with ivory cuffs, along with ivory picture hats. Each carried colonial bouquets of pink roses, pink and white carnations and baby’s breath.

Attending the groom were: Bernard Rusch as best man, and groomsmen were: Robert Prahl, Glen Yeager and Walter W. Nixdorf. Ushers were Neil Lindholm and Allen Nixdorf.

A reception and dinner were held at the Sword at Colby for 275 guests.

The bride attended Abbotsford High School and North Central Technical Institute, and was employed as a clerk-typist with ITT Thorp Corporation. The groom attended Owen-Withee High School and UW-River Falls, and is a Loan Officer with Production Credit Association of Stevens Point.

After a wedding trip to the Western states they will make their home at 3200 Water Street, Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
