Karnopp, Lynn (15 Jun 1974)
The American Lutheran Church, Winifred, Montana was the setting of the 7:30 p.m.
wedding of Miss Lynn Karnopp, daughter of Mrs. Clarence Karnopp and the late
Clarence Karnopp, Thorp, Wisconsin, to Mr. Arlie Christensen Jr., son of Mr. and
Mrs. Arlie Christensen Sr., Winifred, Montana, on Saturday, June 15, 1974, with
the Pastor Lawrence Vinson, Harlowton, Montana, officiating.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Glenn Wildung. Her floor
length dress was fashioned in bridal satin with a Chantilly rose lace bodice,
scoop neckline and a Queen Anne stand up collard with long lace covered sleeves
and cuffs. Her floor length veil fell from a satin bow, encrusted with seed
pearls. Her dress was designed by her Aunt, Mrs. Ulysses Cain, Loyal, Wisconsin.
She carried a cascade arrangement of baby pink roses and starburst poms.
Attending the bride as her matron of honor was Mrs. Dennis Karnopp,
sister-in-law of the bride, Watertown, Wisconsin, and Miss Diane Wilding, niece
of the bride of Winifred, Montana, as flower girl. The bride’s attendants wore
identical floor length gowns of green and white checkered gingham with
tinyflocked rose buds. They were fashioned in a pinafore style with ruffle over
the shoulders, puffed sleeves and ties in the back. They wore open crowned
picture hats made of matching material. They carried nosegays of pink and white
pom pom mums and baby’s breath.
Serving as best man was Dennis Karnopp, brother of the bride, Watertown,
Wisconsin, and ushers were Steve Ehlert and Larry Tuss, both of Winifred.
Miss Karen Wildung, nice of the bride, furnished the music, and Pastor Lawrence
Vinson was the soloist.
A reception was held following the ceremony in Luther Hall.
The new Mrs. Christensen has taught physical education at Loyal, Wisconsin for
the past six years. The groom is engaged in ranching near Winifred, Montana,
where they will be making their home.
