Amacher, Lloyd P. (26 November 1934 – 26 December 2021)

Lloyd P. Amacher, 87, Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at House of the Dove, Marshfield.

Lloyd was born on November 26, 1934, in Stetsonville, to Robert and Loretta (Vandreel) Amacher. He was a 1952 graduate of Colby High School and attended the UW in Marshfield for two years. He married Patricia L. Anderson on May 21, 1960, in Stetsonville. Lloyd began working at Rollohome and then at St. Joseph’s Hospital, both in Marshfield. Lastly, he was employed in Orthotics at the Marshfield Clinic for over 20 years until his retirement. Lloyd was musically talented. At the age of 18 began playing guitar and played in various bands, including Crosswinds, the Kings Trio for 10 years and the Country Gentlemen. He co-founded the Gospel Music Association in Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pat, and their children, Robert (Jane) Amacher of Wausau, Dawn Amacher and LeeAnn Amacher, both of Green Bay and Linda (John) Fisher of Broken Arrow, OK, and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Amacher of Marshfield. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Ashley (Andrew) Thom. Tiffany (Brian) Arney, Erika (Edgar) Mendosa Amacher, Jacob (Dana) Amacher, Nicolas (Cheyenne) Fisher, Joshua (Rebekah) Fisher, John Michael (Kirsten) Fisher and Mikayla (Jordan) Birchett and four great grandchildren, Chloe Arney, Axel Thom and twins, Asher and Atlas Thom. He is further survived by a brother, Alvin (Kathy) Amacher of Broken Arrow, OK and a sister, Myra (Guy) Huempfner of Appleton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Brian Amacher and a sister, Marlene Fredine.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Center City Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in McMillan Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Town of McMillan.
