Dahlke, Bille Sue (28 June 1980)
With the Rev. Maynard Stokka officiating, Bille Sue Dahlke and Lester Kuehn,
Jr., were married in Monday evening, June 28, ceremonies at Zion American
Lutheran Church, Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dahlke and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kuehn, Sr., all of rural
Granton, are parents of the couple. The father of the bride presented her to the
altar.
Renee Dahlke, a sister of the bride from Granton, was maid of honor. She was
joined in the bride’s party by Kim Langreck, a friend from Neillsville; Darla
Schmitz, the bride’s cousin from Neillsville; Karen Kuehn, a sister of the groom
from Granton and Diane Steinbach, a friend from Granton. Dawn Dahlke, a cousin
of the bride from Chili, was flower girl.
Jerry Steinbach, a friend of the groom from Granton, was bestman. He was joined
by Danny Frick, a friend from Marshfield; Dale Kuehn and David Kuehn, cousins of
the groom from Granton; and Rick Kuehn, the groom’s brother from Granton.
Ushering were Glen Moede, a friend of the couple from Chili and Rudy Horvat, a
friend of the couple from Willard.
The bride was attired in a single-knit gown with organ pleated skirt and
chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of white roses, blue carnations and
baby’s breath. Her attendants wore light blue, satin gowns with matching light
blue hats and carried single silk, white roses. The groom was attired in a
white, long-tailed tuxedo while the attendants chose light blue, regular cut
tuxedos.
Musical selections offered for the service included “The Wedding Song,” “The
Lord’s Prayer,” and “We’ve Only Just Begun,” offered by Glen Moede and Mary
Drescher.
Following the service, a reception was held at the Gin Mill and a dance followed
at the Chili Corners Club. The couple then left on a Colorado wedding trip and
were to return to a rural Chili home.
Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by Kim Langreck and Renee Dahlke and
a bachelor’s party hosted by Rick Kuehn and Jerry Steinbach.
The bride is a 1980 graduate of Granton High School. The groom attended the same
school and is self-employed.
