Schiller, Mildred K. (14 September 1896 – 27 June 1980)

Funeral services were held Monday morning, June 30, for Mildred K. Schiller, who passed away June 27 after surgery in a Stanley hospital. Miss Schiller was age 83 at the time of her death and had been a resident of the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen for the past six years.

Father Joseph Henseler officiated at the St. Mary Catholic Church rites with burial made in the parish cemetery. The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville was in charge of arrangements.

The deceased was born on September 14, 1896, in Neillsville to Jacob and Margaret (Litzen) Schiller. She graduated from Neillsville High School and Milwaukee Normal and also attended UW-Madison, then taught at Longfellow Grade School in Madison for 25 years.

After her retirement, she returned to Neillsville where she lived until, due to failing health, became a resident of the health care center. She was a member of St. Mary’s parish and that congregation’s PCCW.

Surviving her is one sister, Margaret Christofferson of Neillsville. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
