Melvin R. Hemp of Neillsville and Cynthia M. Maxim of Lodi were united in
marriage in the late morning of Friday, June 27, in Las Vegas, Nevada,
ceremonies.
The groom is the son of Irene and the late Warren Hemp, Neillsville, and the
bride is the daughter of Rayfeld and Caroline Maxim, Milwaukee.
The bride chose a two-piece white suit and wore a gardenia corsage. The groom
was attired in a blue pin-stripe suit for the justice of the peace ceremonies.
The couple were to make their home in Lodi following a two-week trip into
Canada, Montana and the Yellowstone National Park area.
The new Mrs. Hemp holds an associate degree in electronics from Madison Area
Technical College and is employed as a customer engineer for IBM in Madison.
Melvin is a 1965 graduate of Neillsville High School and in 1968 from UTI in
Milwaukee; he is employed as a technical advisor for the Clack Corporation of
Windsor.
