An autopsy performed in Eau Claire Thursday revealed that an area farmer died of
a drowning after he suffered a heart attack in his milk house.
The body of Ton Jasinski, 59, route 1, Thorp, was found on its back in a small
water tank on his farm southeast of Thorp at about 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
A neighbor, Frank Jacque, had notice light burning in the barn and house late in
the evening, and again in the morning, and decided to investigate.
Coroner Robert Lulloff said Jasinski was suffering from severe heart disease and
that he had apparently suffered the attack while standing at one end of the
water tank.
