Seif, Erna (15 October 1913 – 25 July 1980)
Mrs. Robert Seif, a longtime resident of the Town of Seif, passed away in
Neillsville Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 25, after a brief illness. Mrs.
Seif was 66 at the time of her death.
Mrs. Seif was born on October 15, 1913, in the Town of Seif to Edward and Ida (Ratsch)
Ziegler. After receiving her education in that area, she worked in Chicago. On
September 15, 1934, she married Robert F. Seif in Neillsville ceremonies. The
couple farmed in the Town of Seif until 1973 when they retired and moved to
Neillsville.
Surviving her, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. James (Judy) Metzke
of Greenwood and Mrs. Larry (Janice) Herron of Marshfield; one sister, Mrs.
Forest (Dorothy) Klueckmann, Neillsville, and three brothers, Art Ziegler of
Marion and Marvin and Louis, both of Willard; and two grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held on Monday early afternoon, July 28, from the
Neillsville United Church of Christ. The Rev. Gary Clark officiated, with burial
made in the city cemetery. The Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.

Seif, Erna L. (15 October 1913 – 25 July 1980)
Funeral services were held on the early afternoon of July 28 for Mrs. Robert
Seif from the Neillsville United Church of Christ. The Rev. Gary Clark
officiated with burial made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Mrs. Erna L. Seif
passed away on July 25, at the age of 66.
“I Need Thee Every Hour” and “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” wee the musical
selections At the service offered by Mae Peters and Deon Spangler.
Serving as pallbearers were Louis Worchel, Marvin Boyer, Norman Poppe, Frank
Pekol, Harold Thomas and Clarence Wegner. The Gesche Funeral Home was in charge
of arrangements.
